Friends Weekend in Quebec City: the 48-hour itinerary

The simple formula for a getaway with friends: sleep in Le Caïman's 2 condos (same building in Saint-Roch, up to 12 people, free parking), go out at night to Bar Le Sacrilège — a ~10-15 min walk away — and eat in Saint-Roch.

In short — For a friends weekend in Quebec City, the simplest formula has three parts: (1) sleep in Le Caïman's two condos, at 735 Boulevard Charest Est in Saint-Roch#405 (Cinema Loft) and #1104 (Matisse Penthouse), in the same building, for up to 12 people, with 4 bedrooms, two free indoor parking spots and the rooftop pool; (2) go out at night to Bar Le Sacrilège, 447 rue Saint-Jean — a neighbourhood bar since 1992, a ~10-15 minute walk away, with a free event every weeknight and a 4-season terrace; (3) eat and drink in Saint-Roch, the city's best food neighbourhood. Leave the cars in the garage, walk down the hill for the night, walk back up on the way home — nobody drives. One detail that changes everything: Le Caïman is owned by a co-owner of Le Sacrilège. Here is the full 48-hour itinerary.

Where the group sleeps: Le Caïman's two condos

The foundation of a good group weekend is staying together but not on top of each other. Le Caïman solves that with two complete apartments in the same building in Saint-Roch, served by the same elevators, a 15-minute walk from Old Quebec and a ~10-15 minute walk from Bar Le Sacrilège.

The 48-hour itinerary: Friday night to Sunday

Here is a realistic run-through, tuned for a group of 6 to 12 people arriving Friday and leaving Sunday. Nothing is mandatory — it is a framework that works because everything is within walking distance.

Friday — arrival & first night

Saturday — the big day

Sunday — brunch & departure

The evening HQ: free events at Bar Le Sacrilège

Bar Le Sacrilège (447 rue Saint-Jean, Saint-Jean-Baptiste neighbourhood) is a rue Saint-Jean institution since 1992 — a genuine neighbourhood bar, open daily from noon to 3 AM. It is the natural complement to Le Caïman for a friends weekend: a few minutes away on foot, and run by the same owner. On weeknights there is always a free event:

NightEvent (free)Time
MondayChess tournament6 – 8 PM
TuesdayRun Club (6 PM Crew) — run then a pint6 PM
WednesdayKaraoke night10 PM
ThursdayBlind test / Music quiz8 PM

The bar's differentiator is its 4-season terrace. From November 1 to May 1, the Winter Garden — covered and heated, about 30 seats under a wooden-lattice structure by Boon Architecture, winner of a 2023 CECOBOIS Excellence Award (exterior intervention) — lets the group have a drink "outside" even in the middle of January. From May to November, it becomes the open-air summer terrace. On neighbourhood prices: one of the cheapest pints in town ($6 from noon to 5 PM, selected pints), $1 coffee before 5 PM, and the cheapest Chartreuse in town. The bar is 18+.

Good to know: major sporting events play on the bar's screens (the July 19, 2026 World Cup final is confirmed; other matches on request). Up-to-date details on Le Sacrilège's events page.
